Dolphin ad Whale Watching in Madeira

SCORPIO MADEIRA WILD LIFE is a local company that offers spectacular trips on a speedboat to meet the dolphins and whales in Madeira.

They depart from the port of Machico on a light speedboat that allows you to get really close to the animals.

Each trip lasts 2.5 hours and you can either join them in the morning or in the afternoon. They guarantee the spotting of animals, if not, you can go on the next trip with them for free.

Swimming with dolphins is not guaranteed, but if you come across one of the two species of dolphins that are friendly, you can swim with them for no extra charge!

The group is limited to a maximum of 12 people. If you are far from Machico, Scorpio Madeira Wild Life offers a transfer for €10 per person from your place of accommodation (€6 per person from Villa Scirocco).

The bus SAM 113 runs from Funchal to Caniçal – Baía D’Abra, where the trail PR 8 – Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço begins. It also stops in Machico so why not combine combine the hike with a trip to see dolphins and whales, and of course with swimming on the beautiful sandy beach in Machico.
